Annabeth (Abba) Mellon
Reproductive Justice Organizer
My name is Annabeth Mellon, and I'm a recent graduate of the University of Alabama. A member of the New College program, I designed a major in Gender, Media, & Cultural Studies. I graduated summa cum laude with a research interest in children's media and media literacy.

I graduated high school in 2016 from the Alabama School of Fine Arts with a concentration in Creative Writing. I am originally from Talladega County, Alabama.

I have been advocating for reproductive justice and gender equality both formally and informally, including lobbying at the state and federal levels, since 2014. My special areas of interest are sexual violence justice & prevention, sexual health education reform, and the rights of youth.

Contact
Outreach is my favorite part of organizing, so if you're local to Alabama and interested in working together, please do not hesitate to contact me! I'm available to give presentations and workshops on abortion stigma, LGBTQ+ 101, lobbying and advocacy, zine-making, and more!

I'm also always open to discuss my creative work and general advocacy practices.
